How to Paint Two-Toned Walls, Part 1
Transcript:
Two-toned walls can really change the look and feel of a room. But if you're thinking it's too complicated, don't worry. You can pull it off easily. I'm Dan Hansen and this is a minute at RepcoLite Paints sponsored by Benjamin Moore.
So--two-toned walls: just to make sure we're on the same page: think accent wall with two colors. And for sake of simplicity, imagine the wall is split horizontally. One color on top and a different one on the bottom. Alright. If that's the look you're going for, after picking your colors and doing all the usual prep work, the place to start is deciding where the colors will meet on the wall. The dividing line can be in the middle, higher, or lower—whatever works best for your space. Measure and mark that line lightly, or better yet, use a laser level to project a line across the wall.
Then, once your line is set, paint the top section of the wall. Be sure to roll slightly past the dividing line and feather out the edges to avoid thick paint lines. We'll keep going next time. Or, if you want to get all the info now, check out our latest blogpost at repcolite.com
