Are you a DIYer? Or are you more inclined to think that you just don’t have the skills? I’m Dan Hansen and this is a Minute at RepcoLite.
Being able to handle basic home maintenance on your own, without bringing in a professional, is a way to thrive during economic downturns. And yet, many of us just don’t feel we’ve got what it takes. I’ve been there. There are things I think I’m decent at but there are other things I get nervous about (car repairs, appliance repairs, and so on).
And then, of course, my tendency is to keep up on the things I’m good at and let the things I’m not as good at go . . . which means the issues worsen over time and eventually, I have to either fix a bigger problem, or I need a professional to get things back to good.
I know a lot of people are in that same spot. But with the right info, you can tackle even those projects you think you can’t. I know it because I’ve done it. I’ve installed new brakes on the car, I’ve repaired my dryer when it quit working . . . and trust me . . . It doesn’t come naturally to me. You CAN do these things.
