Holiday Projects: Paint the Fireplace
Transcript:
The holidays are here and that means it's time to paint something. I'm Dan Hansen and this is a minute at RepcoLite.
Now, I know that there are a lot of things many of us would rather do than paint right now. BUT, if you are looking for a relatively small project that could have a huge impact on your home, consider painting the brick fireplace!
Of course, you have to have one, and of course, you have to understand that there's no going back to the dark brick look. But still, it can really change how you feel about that room!
If there are no soot stains, just get the dust off with a shop vac and use any Benjamin Moore waterbased paint. BEN is a great price-friendly option and nothing feels quite as nice as Benjamin Moore's scuff-x when it's dry--even on brick. It's on my fireplace and it's great.
It'll take a couple coats and probably will take you about 4 hours or so worth of work . . . but it's a relatively small project that will have a tremendous impact on your space. Head to RepcoLite.com for a lot more information about this project. I’m Dan Hansen and that's a Minute at RepcoLite.
