Dressing a Room, Part 1
Transcript:
My oldest daughter just got married, and as we were all getting ready, something strange happened. I’m Dan Hansen, and this is a Minute at RepcoLite Paints, sponsored by Benjamin Moore.
We were at the reception venue early in the morning. Everyone arrived in regular clothes—or in the case of my girls, pajamas. They disappeared into the bridal dressing room—hair, makeup, fancy dresses—the whole thing.
Eventually, I finished my jobs and went to change. I had to find a suit for the wedding—I don’t own one—and when I walked out, the girls came parading from their room. As they passed, I caught the eye of my youngest, Hannah. I smiled—and froze. She looked like Hannah… but not quite. For a split second I literally thought I made a mistake. And then she stared back with the same confused look and that didn't help. A second later, we both realized what had happened: I didn’t recognize her, and she didn’t recognize me.
Turns out it’s amazing what a little dressing up can do. Tomorrow, we’ll get to the paint point. I’m Dan Hansen, and that’s a Minute at RepcoLite.
